Architecture and Engineering

Kajima Associates, Inc. (KAI) architects and engineers provide a diverse list of design services. Whether using internal assets for selected industries or managing outside design resources, KAI’s design team present our clients with the best design solution while meeting budget and schedule requirements. During all phases of a project (Master Planning, preliminary engineering, detailed design or contract administration), KAI maintains effective communications to allow the client maximum information and control throughout. Using a traditional project approach or the design-build process, KAI can provide complete design drawings for all construction applications, including construction management and general contracting. Additionally, KAI will team up with a non-KBD builder to provide design-only services for clients.

Process Management

KBDC supplies the process industries (food processing & distribution, power & utility, pharmaceutical and petrochemical) with design support and installation solutions. KBDC’s professionals manage processes to industry standards such as, equipment installation, equipment procurement, narrow temperature, humidity and air velocity control. Complimentary services include equipment special studies, preliminary and final equipment specification documentation review and onsite testing and inspections.

Contract Administration

KAI’s design team will represent the Owner during construction. KAI’s contract administration services provide the appropriate levels of supervision allowing us to look after the best interest of our clients. Our architects and engineers will periodically visit the construction site in order to provide a professional review of the contractor’s efforts and effectively communicate to the Owner on status and progress. Additionally, we shall advise and consult with the Owner throughout construction.
